To get through birth, we have to surrender to the process. We have to reach deep inside and remind ourselves of our God-given power to birth our babies.

To aide in this, many women have found the help of affirmations through their pregnancies and births to really help them focus and relax. Affirmations can be used daily. Read them. Meditate on them. Internalize them. Pray them.

You can get your partner involved too! They can read them to you or help you relax while you meditate on them. This can help create an anchor so that in labour, repeating the phrase or the specific touch can trigger the relaxation needed to allow your baby down through the birth canal.
